Welcome to the website of the Manipal-City & Guilds (MCG) Joint Policy Advisory Group. We'll be adding to the content in the coming weeks and months, and regularly updating our blog with news about the world of skills and vocational education in India as well as with information about our own activities. It's been a busy few months for us as we have been setting up the team and producing our first outputs. Our first major report, entitled A Global Study to get India World-Ready focuses on international experiences in setting up Sector Skills Councils and what this might imply for India. You can download it in either full or summary from here.

We will be producing a series of outputs designed to be useful tools for all those involved in or affected by skills policy in India. This will include a series of "Policy Bites" – short, evidence-based summaries of key policy issues for India that set out key issues and challenges for the country. The first of these, focusing on National Occupational Standards, is available to download here.
